"I'm not that crazy about Pilates, so I don't think the retreat's for me"

A client said this to me a few weeks ago, and I've been thinking about that comment.
I think a lot of people who'd love this retreat are talking themselves out of it for exactly the same reason!
Here's what I said back to her: the retreat is not four days of solid Pilates. It's a morning session and an early evening session, with the rest of the day being entirely yours i.e. the pool, the market, a walk, a book on the terrace, good food, good company. Pilates bookends the day. It doesn't consume it.
So if you've done yoga for years and never quite got round to Pilates, you'll be completely fine. If you did a bit of Pilates pre-2020 and haven't been near a mat since, also fine. Genuinely, all you need is reasonable coordination and the ability to follow an instruction. I guide every movement, out loud, the whole way through. Nobody's expected to already know what they're doing. That's rather the point of me being there.
What the retreat actually asks of you is much simpler than "be good at Pilates." It's: can you switch off for four days? Can you let someone else sort the food, the transfers, the plans, and just turn up? Can you sit by a pool in the hills above Dénia without immediately thinking about the fifteen things waiting for you at home?
If the honest answer is "I really need to, but I'm not sure I know how anymore" then that's exactly who this retreat is for. A change really is as good as a rest, and you don't need to be remotely fanatical about Pilates to have one.
One small, practical thing: the early-bird discount (10% off) ends on 15 August — that's five days from today. If this has been sitting in the back of your mind, that's the nudge to actually send the message.
